Hello, I’m Hannah

I'm a freelance journalist, writer and comms professional based in Newcastle-under-Lyme (the ‘proper Newcastle’, the one in Staffordshire), with a strong interest in heritage, regeneration, arts and culture.

Previously I was a senior journalist at The Sentinel/ Stoke-on-Trent Live and the Birmingham Mail, and I've also worked in communications for Keele University and Ceramics UK.

I’m a trustee for a local charity called Pro Level Vision, which aims to make high quality football coaching available to vulnerable or disadvantaged young people. I’m also a member of the Supporter Advisory Board at Port Vale FC, where I’m a season ticket holder.

On this website you’ll get a mix of my journalism, client press releases and hopefully some more Substack-y posts when I have the time and energy.
